About the Proposed Industrial Development

The proposed industrial development would create 9 serviced parcels that would be subdivided into lots between 9 to 25 acres in size. The site would support much needed modern transportation logistics distribution centres and high value industrial areas.

Our Proposal Includes

    • Stormwater management to improve the water quality and water levels of Burns Bog Ecological Conservancy Area.
    • $6 million for Westham Island irrigation and drainage improvements.
    • Donation of 328 acres of land for protection from future development, including adding 193 acres (Lot B) to the Agricultural Land Reserve.
    • $5 million in transportation and community benefits.
    • Land for Sunbury Interchange improvements on South Fraser Perimeter Road (SFPR)/Hwy 17.
    • Light industrial logistics park that will support Delta’s economy and bring in $1.3 million in property tax revenue each year.
    • Green buildings and environmentally-friendly landscaping.
